Following the Spirit of each Season and exploring all of it's Enchantments
Tears always come to my eyes when I think about what that generation had to go through, and give up. My father was to young to fight in the war, but both of his older brothers went off. Only one came back.
Deborah at Kilbourne GroveHugs, thankyou for sharing such a touching and heartbreaking story.
Thank you for reminding us to be thankful and grateful for those who have fought for us.
azplantladyThankyou for your beautiful and kind comments.
A very good reminder for sure. I remember when I was younger seeing the veterans selling the paper poppies to raise money. The red ones remind me of Veterans Day now.
Your pictures are absolutely stunning. Thank you for the solemn reminder during this time of Rememberance.
I didn't know about the connection with poppies. A great post about rememberance.
