Tears always come to my eyes when I think about what that generation had to go through, and give up. My father was to young to fight in the war, but both of his older brothers went off. Only one came back.
A very good reminder for sure. I remember when I was younger seeing the veterans selling the paper poppies to raise money. The red ones remind me of Veterans Day now.
