How appropriate, the luminaries have always been something special in our Christmas celebrations. The neighborhood we first lived in as a married couple lined every curbside with them on Christmas eve, and would walk the sidewalks singing carols. This was cold PA, mind you, but the memory of it is warming. A very happy Solstice to you!

Wonderful post Kiki. I think Winter Solstice is the most magical & powerful day of the year. I can actually feel a positive energy shift with its passing, as oppose to the slight negative I feel during the passage of summer solstice.

This is my second comment on this post coz when i saw your reply i already forgot my comments you replied on, so while reviewing replied again, as this. Actually i just bought a book on crystals last week together with a book on local birds. I've read the crystal book few years ago but wanted to have my own copy. I've just not tried meditating with them but they are around in the house and in the office. However, i have not been diligent in cleaning and attending to them anymore. thanks. Be sure to take a look at my posts lately, i have some delightful orchids.
