Summer's Light
is beginning to bend...into Autumn's Realm
Summer has given me many things..
There have been garden parties..
Guests form afar..
Otherworldy spirits
moments of
quiet and bliss
there have mysterious happenings..
Strange sightings..
and Magical moments..
There have been disappearing objects...
My Greenman went missing...(all summer long)
Finally reappeared..weathered and frail

so now he is Blue....
A Blue GreenMan
He is kept hidden in a secret cave of rocks...
where he shall remain safe..
Nestled in with Immortal Ivy
There have been celebrations
and always a reason for a garden bouquet
My Garden's Gothic Heart
always springs to life in amaranthus
There have been a Thousand Green Hearts
tumbling over and into my soul...
And Massive Blooms of Cleome
sparking to life in pink fire
The porch has been full of voices and chatter
and late nights
food wine
music
and
poetry
the vintage charm of another time
still comes to life in this portal
Summer has treated me well
and given me many gifts...
and it is still not quite
over yet...
how could it be?
Summer will always be
Alive
in my Heart

Yay, I can FINALLY post a comment... for some reason it wasn't working each time I visited. Kiki, your Photos are always enchanting and lovely to behold and your Garden is a place I could wander in for hours... alas, here in the Desert a lush Garden is rather difficult to attain or maintain.

This Summer has given me an appreciation of the power of the sun...to turn water and nutrients into tomatoes, a reminder to respect its heat and fury....and a lesson to not take things for granted as the seasons slowly turn and offer lessons anew....

Some gifts of summer for me are spending time with the family and eating loads of squash and basil.
