A M A R A N T H U S
This year..the front garden was also adorned in dramatic reds..
Victorian Flair..dangling tassels of Amaranthus aka "Love Lies Bleeding".
If you have visited me in the past..you know by now ..my deep love for these floral creatures!
They are dramatic..gothic..and unique!
This was one of my favorite sights to behold this year..how about all of you?
Did you have any favorite Garden Moments this summer?
Anything new you tried that you love? or old favorites you put somewhere new?
Amaranthus alongside...the forever blooming Pink Mandevilla in urn.
Crimson Rambler and Morning Glory Vine climbing the stone walls like poetry
And of course..also in the back Herb Garden..
there is always Amaranthus....
Reds in the garden are Potent

What a gorgeous garden! We're too far north to grown amaranthus here but it sure is a spectacular plant.
Hi Kiki, i haven't been here for a while, Happy New Year. I truly love that amaranthus, how lovely those long spikes are! Amaranthus thrives here in the tropics, maybe that variety or species grow here too, i hope i will see it in nurseries here, too!
~stunning photos of your blooms...makes me miss spring...to feel the richness of the dark soil slipping through my fingers...to see the flourishing flowers in bloom and to smell the intoxicating scents lingering with the breeze...beautiful my friend...and congrats on your award...much love light and blessings~

What a beautiful garden you have! Amaranthus won't grow up here in the mountains, but if it would it would definitely be in my garden. It's gorgeous.
My hope for my garden next year is the same as always: I hope the Raccoons don't do too much damage. I plant, they dig it up, I re-plant, they dig it up, I re...well, you get the idea. Sigh. It's an ongoing battle, but I don't have the heart or spirit to do anything to harm the Raccoons. This forest belongs to them, not me.
Blessings,
Victoria

This is such a wonderful plant. I love it !! Your garden looks wonderful.
My favourite of last year was a huge dahlia. It cam out in the colours cream, deep burgundy and a mix of those two colours. It was huge and flowered well into november.
Have a magical day.
I love red, too. Such a wonderful garden - can hardly wait to see the nature awaking. Have a great week ahead. Love and light, Inge
Red is alive isn't it? I love how your words came "alive" in tone. Your excitement and love for this moment forever imprinted in your heart.
